Firstly, welcome to the Codex! Lets go over some of the features you can use here

Combos

Obviously the main focus of ComboCodex is the combos! On ComboCodex you can search and submit combos.

Requests

If you need a combo, or are stuck with making one, you can request for it to be made! Along with this you can view and complete requests made by others.

Accounts

Accounts on ComboCodex are completely optional, but do provide an elevated user experience and do not even require personal information like an e-mail to sign up. With an account you can "own" your combos, earn coins to use in the shop, view your requests/completed requests, favorite combos, and keep track of your combo statistics. There are also feature that allow for searching of other players and a player leaderboard!

Shop

Users with accounts can earn CodexCoins, an on-site currency used for purchasing items. Items in the shop allow you to customize your ComboCodex experience, and allow how others see your profile.

Viewing a Combo

When looking at a combo, click on the top area (the space with the legends/weapons) to visit the combo's page. This page provides information like the accounts/guests affiliated with the combo, along with its upload and modification date. The url can be copied and pasted and contains an embed with the video.

Searching Combos

To search combos navigate to the search combos page. Here you will be prompted with every legend and weapon in the game. Click on a legend/weapon to add them to your search query. Only two items are required in the query to search, allowing for flexible queries such as all combos for spear and sword or Kaya and Asuri. The query can be cleared by simply clicking on the "X", or items can be individually removed by clicking on them.

Submitting Combos

To submit combos navigate to the submit combos page. Here you will be prompted with legends and other form fields. To add legend/weapons to your submission, click on a legend and weapon combination from the provided options. Here you can see they load into your preview, which you can clear by pressing the "X". Next you have the option (not required) of adding user/guest names to the submission, if any CC accounts with the names provided are found an account will be linked to them, otherwise the names will appear as guests. Use the next field to upload your combo video. If your combo is outdated or map specific make sure the check the corresponding box before submitting.

Submitting Combos (with video title)

The alternative (and faster) way to submit your combos is through the video name itself. If your video is named with the following structure "legend_weapon-legend_weapon", you can quickly submit your combo without having to select any legends/weapons. On the page is also the option for accounts/guests, which functions the exact same way is in the normal submission.

Additional Combo Features

In the top right of each combo, there is a star (if you are signed in). The star will add the combo to your favorites when clicked.

Viewing a Request

Unlike combos, requests do not have their own pages, but still contain some information. The body of the request contains the legends/weapons requested. Hovering over a combo will reveal the user who made the request, along with any additional notes they provided.

Viewing a Completed Request (and Combo)

Viewing a completed request is the exact same as viewing a request. The difference is that the combo that completed the request can be viewed by clicking on the body of the request.

Viewing Requests

Navigate to the requests page. View additional request information by hovering over a request.

Requesting a Combo

Start by navigating to the submit requests page. Here you will be prompted with legends and other form fields. To add legend/weapons to your submission, click on a legend and weapon combination from the provided options. Here you can see they load into your preview, which you can clear by pressing the "X". Next you have the option (not required) of adding notes to your request if you have anything you'd like to add. If combos exist that share your request's legends/weapons you will be prompted with them and asked if you still want to submit or if the combos are satisfactory.

Completing a Request

Not much to say here. A request is completed when a combo with the same legends/weapons is submitted and accepted.

Registering an Account

Start by navigating to the register page. Alternatively, a link to register can be found on the login page.

Viewing Account(s)

To view your personal profile, click on "profile" in the top right of the screen. Here you will be prompted with an overview of your statistics, all your combos, a link to your completion page, and your favorites. To view other people's accounts, go to the "search" tab under profile and simply click on the player youd like to view after searching.

Account Completion

Account completion is essentially a culmination of all your ComboCodex data. It is also a good way to keep track of any requests you have made or completed.

Favorite Combos

If you're logged in, every combo will have the option to favorite it in the top right corner (shown by a star). To view your favorite combos, simply head to the "favorites" tab under profile.

Codex Coins

Codex Coins are ComboCodex's on-site currency. Coins can be earned by submitting combos, completing requests, and completing daily challenges.

What is the Shop?

The shop contains (currently) three different types of items for purchase: user colors, themes, and backgrounds. Each item can be purchased for a certain amount of coins, with some being more expensive than others.

Equipping Items

Items can be equipped in the "items" tab under profile. Simply click the item you want to select and it will be changed.

User Colors

Based on Brawlhalla colors, these colors are used to change the appearance of your name to others on the site.

Themes

Themes change how the site appears for you. Generally changing the color of text and certain elements.

Backgrounds

Changes how the background on the site appears for you. These are all from Brawlhalla. Mix and match themes and backgrounds to personalize the site to your liking.
